Every deployment is governed by the Med-ID Governance & SOP Framework — a 130+ page compliance document built on Australian pharmacy legislation and developed in consultation with regulatory and legal expertise.
Why we exist
Pharmacies are losing dispensed scripts to competitors with longer hours. Patients are leaving to access medications and health products that their pharmacy stocks — but can't provide outside trading hours. Key Expertise
Michael Beck is Co-Founder of Med-ID, leading the advancement of pharmacist-governed infrastructure to improve access to pharmacy services. He holds qualifications in Applied Science (Medical Radiation Technology) from the University of Newcastle and has built his career at the intersection of healthcare and technology. He has held senior roles with GE Healthcare and Canon Healthcare (Vital Healthcare Enterprise IT), and previously served as Managing Director of Healthinc, specialising in enterprise healthcare systems, clinical integration, and digital health infrastructure across complex care environments. At Med-ID, Michael leads commercial strategy, market positioning, and regulatory alignment for PharmaSelf24™ and MedyBOX™, positioning them as core infrastructure for modern pharmacy. His work is grounded in healthcare policy, structured governance, and real-world clinical application.

His career spans senior leadership roles in healthcare technology, including Vice President Asia at Omnicell — a global leader in pharmacy automation — and Managing Director of Scieda Group, a healthcare technology and medical equipment company operating across the Asia-Pacific region. Dr. Gooden's expertise covers medical modalities, specialised equipment, medical consumables, and device domains, with a deep understanding of pharmacy systems, healthcare infrastructure, and the regulatory and commercial dynamics of the Australian and Asia-Pacific markets.
